Thanks for visiting. I’m a co-founder of the Buy Nothing Project, co-author of The Buy Nothing, Get Everything Plan, mumbly voice-to-text typist, and fine point pen enthusiast. I live on the ancestral land of the Suquamish and Duwamish Peoples, on an island in the Salish Sea. My heart and soul live in צִיּוֹן . I’ve done a few different things as day jobs, but the past 20 years of my life have been devoted to raising my children as a single mother and including them in years of experiments to amplify the joy and meaning in a non-dogmatic reduce-reuse-refuse-rethink approach to life. All of this labor has been unpaid and that’s left me with some thoughts and opinions about better routes to sustainable change. This site is my own and the thoughts and work I share here are mine alone.

I’m a reporter for the Bainbridge Island Review and I’m hoping to get in touch with Bainbridge Islanders who are trying the No Impact challenge for an article I’m writing for next week’s paper.
Would you be interested in talking with me?
My e-mail is jhoch@bainbridgereview.com
